The 13th annual Collector’s Focus: Women Artists returns to the pages of our June issue as we pay tribute to talented women artists who are delighting collectors throughout the market. Women have much to say on this historical genre and their skillful depictions of the Old West, the New West, and the Next West deserve our attention. This section will continue to showcase fresh pieces of Western art produced by today’s talented women artists. Join Western Art Collector as we shine a light on leading artists creating art today. While the West means many things to many people, many consider canyons and deserts some of the most Iconic imagery from the American West. Those images go back nearly two centuries and continue still today as artists are drawn to these hot and dry locations for paintings and sculptures. In the June issue, Western Art Collector will feature the return of its special section Collector’s Focus: Canyons & Deserts, which will offer collectors an exclusive look into a popular genre of Western artwork. These works will offer breathtaking views of some of the places that have come to define the American West, whether it’s Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon or smaller, more intimate destinations hidden throughout the country. The 16th annual State of the Art: Oklahoma returns to the June issue! Home to roughly 80 percent of the world’s Western art, 23 art museums and numerous galleries and artists, it is no secret why this state is treasured by collectors, art enthusiasts and artists. Our coverage is timed with the annual Prix de West at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
