Up before dawn to drive to a ranch to plan a commission, I passed through rolling ranch land just as the sun peeked above the horizon. Enroute to a plein air event in Rocky Mountain National Park, my journey takes me along the meadows and rich ranchlands of the Colorado River plain. Snow already blankets the higher peaks of the Ten Mile Range that divides Breckenridge and Copper Mountain, CO.
