One of Western Art Collector’s most popular sections, Collector’s Focus: Wildlife Art returns to the September issue to feature all kinds of creatures big and small and the artists who depict them. From large mammals such as bear and moose to tiny creatures such as birds and rodents—and everything in between—this dynamic and colorful section features something for everyone. Western Art Collector marks the 14th annual Collector’s Focus: Wildlife Art in the September issue, showcasing the top artists, galleries and museums dealing in Wildlife Art today. We will spotlight this genre in conjunction with our coverage of the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s popular Western Visions show, the Society of Animal Artists Art and the Animal exhibition as well as the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival.

Collector’s Focus: Fine Art Photography

Western Art Collector is proud to present the inaugural Collector’s Focus: Fine Art Photography special section. Western art has a long history with the medium of photography, going back to several famous photographers such as William Henry Jackson, who photographed lands that would become national parks, and Edward S. Curtis, who took exhaustive records of Native American tribes throughout the country. Photography has continued with artists such as L.A. Huffman, Ansel Adams, Jay Dusard and many others. The September issue will feature work by some of the most important fine art photographers shooting the West today as we celebrate this popular medium and how it fits into a more traditional art collection.
