Western art has a long history with the medium of photography, going back to several famous photographers such as William Henry Jackson, who photographed lands that would become national parks, and Edward S. Curtis, who took exhaustive records of Native American tribes throughout the country. Photography has continued with artists such as L.A. Huffman, Ansel Adams, Jay Dusard and many others. The September issue will feature work by some of the most important fine art photographers shooting the West today as we celebrate this popular medium and how it fits into a more traditional art collection.
