Planning several hikes this day, we headed out early on a chilly morning to the saddle between Mt. Clements and Mt. Oberlin on Logan Pass, Glacier National Park. The night’s storm was breaking creating all sorts of cloud shapes, threads and swirling movement against the steep, upper slopes of now, snow-covered, Going-To-The-Sun Mountain and the distant range. Hours later on our descent, with warmer sun, the trail wound us through patches of all sorts of wildflowers, criss-crossing many meandering, crystal-clear brooks and streamlets that “here and there” stair-stepped and tumbled over small ledges creating mini-waterfalls.
