oil on canvas
36 x 24 inches (L x W)
Arrowhead Rockery will always remain as one of my favourite paintings. People often describe rocks as grey colored but if you look very closely at the rocks shown here, you will notice that no grey was used. Instead cereleun blue, magenta, olive green and the like and the color combination bring this painting alive.

Gully
oil on canvas24
24 x 30 inches (L x W)
It is always intriguing when hiking in the woods to find a path carved by the rain. You can imagine how long a period this sculpture by Mother Nature required to create this interesting trail and picture how quickly the path can transition from a dry gully to a roaring stream tumbling down the hillside.
Miners Bay
oil on canvas
24 x 36 inches (L x W)
Located south of Minden Ontario, this popular hiking area shows the beauty of the autumn season. The large tree in the middle has spent considerable time extending roots down to the stream in an effort to establish itself further, making an interesting subject.
Pentru Iubure
oil on canvas
24 x 36 inches (L x W)
Pentru Iubure is Romanian meaning For Love. Algonquin Provincial Park is loved by thousands and this scene is from one of the potage areas, showing a canoe in the Algonquin Park rental color. Far off in the distance you can see another canoer approaching in the far distance finding its way through the reeds.

The Wetlands
oil on canvas
24 x 36 inches (L x W)
Swamps and bogs are always a big favorite of mine. This particular bog is located just north of Palgrave Ontario, and was particularly intriguing because it was all shades of green. There was a lonely mallard duck there when I started the composition.

Winter Solitude
oil on canvas
24 x 30 inches (L x W)
Winter creates such unique subjects. The fallen tree that would possibly not have interested me for a painting, becomes more compelling to paint when covered with snow. The woodpecker in the tree that kept coming closer to see what I was doing , really completed the composition.
